Specially Trained in Hair Restoration Procedures.

SURGICAL

We utilise the most advanced surgical techniques combined with latest thinking on aesthetic density. We consistently perform exceptional natural appearing Hair Transplantation.

There are different methods like FUT, FUE and combined methods.

FOLLICULAR UNIT EXTRACTION (FUE)
This method of obtaining hair grafts is individual hair extraction directly from patient donor area and implanting on receipient area Here there is no need of suture removal. The main advantage is that there is no linear scar on back of head. The main disadvantage is that patients hair in donor area need to be clipped short prior to procedure.

Based on individual anatomy and needs and keeping patient preference in mind, a technique is chosen.

FOLLICULAR UNIT TRANSPLANTATION (FUT)
In this technique, a strip of skin is removed from donor area and dissected into individual follicular units and implanted on the thinning or balding area. Sutures are then used to close the donor area. Strip harvesting or FUT procedure produces a linear scar appearance on the donor area. This can be of significant concern for patients who wish to wear their hair very small. Vast majority of patients who undergo strip harvesting have minimal scars that are easily concealed by the hair above the scar. But some of them might have crude scars and also some patients who have several scars from multiple procedures. Some instances of apparent widened appearance of scar may actually be due to damage to follicles along incision line during harvesting rather than true scarring. Use of trichophytic method of closure for strip harvesting can be extremely helpful in improving appearance of strip harvest scar.

ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES
In FUE, there is no linear scar, is less invasive, there is no cutting, micro circular scars are created, hypo/hyperpigmented dots may be scar reaction or actual post inflammatory pigment changes. Sometimes if grafts are taken too close it may give appearance of scar. If large number of grafts are removed there can be a clear demarcation between areas that have been harvested and that left alone.

Strip harvesting and FUE are both acceptable techniques for harvesting donor grafts. Each technique has its own advantages and disadvantages. On cost benefit ratio, strip harvesting would seem to be more cost effective.

FUE is well suited for patients who do not want to have linear scar. It is excellent choice for young patients seeking small procedures. It is ideal choice for harvesting trunk, leg and arm hair.

In Advanced FUE, we create large donor pools by harvesting follicles from areas outside head like chest, arm, legs, back, face, beard etc.

In FUE there is quick patient recovery time, low post operative discomfort and is a favoured method where scalp is too tight for strip excision and also enables a hair transplant surgeon to harvest fine hair from nape of neck to use at hairline or eyebrow.

COMBINED FUE & FUT
Combination of both is optimal use of technique to get maximum grafts.

BODY HAIR TRANSPLANT
We also specialise in doing Body Hair Transplant like Eye Brow, Beard, Chest etc Hair loss is progressive. Hair restoration plan must be made with this in mind. When a patient comes with given stage of hair loss, a physician must be able to assess donor area for hair density, calculate number of grafts needed, explain the likely plan result to the patient with possibility of future hair loss and accordingly decide FUE & FUT.
